4 Style Recipes That Will Heat Up Your Wardrobe
These days fashion is everywhere. There has never been a better time to be free with fashion because just about everything is in style. However, fashion is more than just throwing pieces together. It's all about style and how you wear the items you wear. This can make or break your outfit. With all of these options of style, it can be hard to figure out what looks right and what does not. Here are a few outfit recipes that can help you leave your house feeling confident.
An outfit recipe consists of pieces put together so you don't have to think twice about the look you're going for. Everyone can pull off this recipe regardless of color, shape, or size.
Style Recipe #1: White Tee and Denim
This is a classic choice you can NEVER go wrong with. A white tee and denim is like peanut butter and jelly, it just goes together. It does not matter the type of shirt and denim. It can be a t-shirt, a body suit, a crop top, etc., it will give every single time. You can even switch up the color of denim from light to stonewash to dark denim, it all looks amazing. You can dress it up with a leather jacket to give it a nighttime appeal or add some heels and a blazer to make it daytime/work-appropriate.
Style Recipe #2: Graphic Tee and Dress/Cargo Pants
This is one of my favorite combinations. Graphic tees were very big in the 70's and 80's. They have made their way back into mainstream fashion but with a twist. Pairing this classic tee with cargo pants (which have made their way back into the fashion game) or some dress pants can elevate your style and it is one you don't have to think twice about. With dress pants, you can give this a dressy casual feel by pairing this with some heels and a cute clutch purse. With cargos, you pair this with your favorite tennis shoes and a cute tote bag. Again, you can personalize this look with some accessories.
Style Recipe #3: Crop top and High-waisted Wide-leg Pants
This is a fashion recipe that looks amazing on all body types. Whether you are a slim diva or a plus-size queen, this is one combination everyone can use. The crop top can be a casual racerback top or a crop sweater.
Style Recipe #4: Maxi Dress/Dress
This is probably one of the easiest outfit recipes you can duplicate. Maxi dresses or even dresses, in general, are one style you don't have to put much thought into.
You don't have to look for a top and bottom, you just have to focus on the accessories. This is a great option for spring. You can pair a maxi dress with some Converse tennis or a cute sandal. Or you can dress it up with heels and a clutch purse.
Style bonus: Color Combos
As a bonus, we wanted to include some color combinations that will also help to elevate your style and take it to new heights. Try it with some of the style recipes listed above for a new bold look:
Blue and Orange: A mix of cool and bold!
Pink and Green: You don't have to be an AKA to rock these two garden favorites!
Maroon and Navy Blue: A mix of sophistication!
Red and Nude: A combination of sexy, sassy, and boss!
Any of these combinations are going to eat every single time. Now you just have to personalize it and make it your own. Accessorize it any way you like and show your personality. Another option would be to develop a capsule wardrobe in addition to these style options.
