#1 Run for Cover
Okay, we know what we mentioned above about using a hat to cover up a bad hair day however, we're in 2022 where hats are even more popping now than ever. Baseball caps remain the most effective way to protect your head from unruly hair but wearing them even if you don't have unruly hair has become trendy for quite some time now.
Also, despite being around for decades, the fedora has recently seen a reemergence in popularity in recent years and has been seen just about everywhere. Unbeknownst to anyone around you, you'll be able to fit right in with no worries. Adding cute accessories such as a nice pair of hoop earrings definitely helps to distract the attention away from whatever crisis could be happening underneath your hat.
#2 Wrapping Things Up
Scarves and head wraps are our absolute go to hair accessories especially on days where we aren't feeling so great about our hair. We just love how these gorgeous head pieces are super versatile in that they can be dressed up or down and worn with a variety of outfits.
Printed scarves and head wraps especially those that are designer, can add an edgy vibe to a very plain outfit. You can also wear them in so many ways. Wearing your head scarf and/or wrap in front of your face will give your look an Afrocentric feel. You can also go for the handkerchief look which is perfect for the summer and gives off relaxing island vibes or go for old Hollywood glam by tying your headscarf underneath your chin and adding some cool sunglasses.
#3 Give Me Headbands
The headband gives you a style that you don't have to necessarily think about. If you are having one of those days where your edges just won't cooperate, headbands will do the trick. Not only are headbands timeless, brushing your hair back into a simple ponytail or bun while wearing one, can aid in being a distraction from any out of place strands.
Headbands have also become hugely popular again within the last few years, similar to other fashionable hair accessories. So much so that wig manufactures have now begun selling the ever so convenient and popular headband style wig. If you aren't familiar with the beauty of wig wearing, keep reading.
#4 Wigging Out
If you want to make a bad hair day disappear, wearing a wig is the solution to the problem. There are so many possibilities when it comes to wigs. If you don't like the color of your natural hair or just want to simply switch things up, throwing on a wig to give yourself a different look never hurts. To date, there are many different brands and styles to choose from.
If you're in need of a quick and convenient change, we recommend trying out a low maintenance synthetic wig. Synthetic wigs are more affordable than their human hair counterparts since they are made from synthetic fibers. When styled correctly and maintained properly, you can still achieve the same fresh from the salon look with a synthetic wig. If you don't already own a few and have them on display in your closet or bathroom, what are you waiting for? Our experience as proud wig owners allows us to guarantee fewer bad hair days when wearing wigs.
#5 Let's Get Messy
What may look like a bad hair day these days may actually turn out to be something that is now considered super "chique".
In spite of the possible accidental hair faux pas that potentially started it all, the "messy bun" has become a low maintenance yet high fashion trend that we've all worn at one point or another. As this style takes minimal effort to achieve, feel free to throw your hair into a high pony while wrapping it around creating a messy bun. If you're able to style the bun neatly however, you may also want to add a headband or head wrap to complete the look.
Conclusion....
A bad hair day can give you an excuse to be even more stylish and creative with your hair. It's all in what you make of it but, hiding at home no longer has to be the answer to this problem. Have fun with your hair and allow your confidence to help you pull off the look.
