De-Clutter Your Makeup Bag!!! 5 Must Have Makeup Essentials
Oh the clutter of a crowded makeup bag. There’s nothing like having a few minutes to beat your face while your Uber is right around the corner. The thought of fumbling around through makeup brushes, contour sticks, and mascaras while only needing to find my favorite foundation gives me a little anxiety. If you suffer from the dreaded abyss of a makeup case, bag, or box, fear not. We will tell you what you need to narrow down some of your unnecessary items and stock your bag with only these five makeup bag essentials.
FOUNDATION
Foundation....the staple of any girl's makeup bag. Check this item off of your list. Grab at least one from your favorite brand. Right now, we’re totally still digging our Fenty Foundation by none other than our girl Riri (Rihanna). Hey girl!!! We also found a new favorite called Infallible by L’Oreal. It’s a nice texture and long lasting. Toss this in your bag for all day touch ups.
Concealer
Duhhhh.....Show us a makeup list that doesn't include this stuff. Concealer is the Pixar to our Disney. Ok, we'll stop being corny now. After a long day of blogging, going to meetings, and scrolling our social media feeds, our eyes are in need of a little TLC. When you have tired eyes or dark circles it's so not a cute look. Having your concealer with you is a life saver. Eyebrow Gel/Powder
If you were blessed with nice full brows, you can skip down to the next item on our list. Hunty, that brow pencil and/or brow gel for those of us with sparse eyebrows is a life saver. A tried and true product that we absolutely love for our brows is Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz. This gel will get your brows all the way together and is long lasting. Some makeup gurus these days only swear by using gels and powders for your brows however, we still believe in using our trusty brow pencil from time to time. These items are staples in our makeup bag.
Mascara
When you don’t have time to apply those mink lashes, mascara ties your look together. Don’t even think about leaving those lashes bald. There are so many brands of mascaras on the market today and some brands even make cute little travel/sample sizes. When it comes to our mascara, we like to switch things up however, there is one brand that has absolutely stood the test of time. The Maybelline Great Lash Mascara has been a staple in most girl’s makeup bags for years. You know it when you see it displayed in the iconic pink and green tube. It is also inexpensive but, packs a punch for your lashes. Throw that or any brand of your choice into your bag to complete your makeup look.
Lipstick/Lip gloss
We are finally at the end of our list. It’s time to add our last and final item which is lipstick/lip gloss. Whether you’re looking to just moisturize your lips or add a pop of color, glow up your look with just a touch of these items on your pout. For those of you whole just want a slight sheen combined with natural ingredients to moisturize your lips, Burt’s Bees is definitely a good go to. If you’re a bit flashier and enjoy some shimmer and a little more pigment we are still obsessing over our Fenty Beauty Lip gloss. We started off with Fenty Glow in Shimmering Rose Nude. Since then, she has added a few more additions and we just can’t get enough. Whatever your preference happens to be, adding a lipstick/lip gloss in your makeup bag is a MUST!!!💋💋
