Mask Off: Hair masks to rejuvenate your tresses
At some point in our lives we have had a hair crisis. With all of the product lines that we see in stores, it can become overwhelming to choose which product works best for your hair. You want to try something that works but you don't want to shell out a bunch of money on product that only provides your hair with empty promises and broken dreams.
As we are moving into a more natural movement within this season of beauty, its only right that we keep our skin and hair healthy by taking a natural approach. Here are a few hair masks that are sure to get turn you in the right direction without the stress and without emptying your pockets.
Damaged Hair
Whether you have brittle dry strands, or even frizzy hair these hair masks may work to breathe life back into your mane.
*Mask One: coconut oil, avocado, and bananas
*Mask Two: avocado, honey, and olive oil
*Mask Three: coconut oil, jojoba oil, and peppermint oil
Coconut oil and jojoba oils are great for strengthening your hair and hair loss prevention. While avocados help to assist your hair growth. Honey and bananas help to give your strands shine and thickness. Who doesn't want thick hair right?! Peppermint oil gives your stimulates your scalp and is also know to prevent hair loss.
Dandruff
Dandruff can be such a pain because it shows up at the most inopportune times. It also makes it hard for your scalp to breathe if there is too much build up on the scalp. In the extreme cases, you may want to see your beautician but for minor cases of dandruff, these masks just may do the trick.
*Mask One: egg yolk and olive oil
*Mask Two: apple cider vinegar and water
*Mask Three: fenugreek, hibiscus, and yogurt
Fenugreek has so many benefits for your overall health. Its great for regulating blood sugar levels, appetite control, and lowering cholesterol. I remember my doctor recommended fenugreek supplements to increase my breast milk production. In this case, fenugreek is good for dandruff and scalp irritation. Egg yolk and olive oil are great for keeping your hair and scalp moisturized which the lack thereof can cause dandruff. ACV (apple cider vinegar) has been used for many years because it effective in killing and preventing dandruff.
Split Ends
Split ends can ruin ANY hair style. In my opinion, split ends can actually make your hair look shorter than what it really is and it just looks so unhealthy. Don't even think about trying curls or beach wave styles because it will just come out looking frizzy.

*Mask Three: papaya and yogurt
As discussed above, egg yolk, olive oil, and honey helps to moisturize your hair and strengthen your strands. Almond oil not only moisturizes but it helps to reduce shedding and breakage. Papaya helps to strengthen and protect your hair as well. That is one mask I am excited to try .
